We live in a culture that constantly tells us to put ourselves first. “Do what makes you happy,” “Follow your truth,” “You come first.” Yet this self‑centered way of living has left many people exhausted, anxious, and spiritually empty. When life revolves around us—our desires, our opinions, our control—we end up carrying burdens we were never designed to bear.

But God, in His wisdom and mercy, calls us to a different way. The First Commandment declares, “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). This isn’t a restriction; it’s an invitation. God is saying, “Let Me be first, so your life can fall into order.”

Our mission at Kingsbury Baptist is to love people to an ongoing relationship with Jesus.  When you visit, you will discover that Kingsbury Baptist cares about each other.  We want that same kind of love to include those we haven’t met yet.

Howdy! My name is Merlin.

I am a child of God, a husband, a dad, a grandad, a pastor, an evangelist, an author, and a computer geek. I’ve traveled the world preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now, I preach almost every Sunday right here in Kingsbury, New York.

Everyone thought we were crazy. We had it all: a good income, a wonderful family, a few modes of transportation, and a nice home. But we were drowning in debt. So, we moved out! From 3500 square feet to 400—all six of us into a tiny RV. This lasted for 9 months, but we reduced our debt down to just a student loan.
